LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Former
Tiger standout Gary Neal and the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs finished up a
four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday night in the semifinal round of the
NBA's western conference playoffs.
Neal and the Spurs will either take on the second-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder or the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the next round for the right to play for the NBA Championship.
Neal finished with
14 points on 5-of-7 shooting Sunday as the Spurs won their 18th straight game overall and eight consecutive playoff game. Neal, who also dished out three assists in 14 minutes of action, now has three double digit scoring games during the 2012 playoffs.
Neal, a 2011-12 NBA All-Rookie Team selection, was fourth on the Spurs in scoring (9.9 ppg) during the
regular season.
