TOWSON, Md. – When the Tiger football team plays for the NCAA FCS championship on Saturday afternoon, groups of Tiger fans will gather for viewing parties throughout the state of Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Tigers, who are 13-2 on the season, will be seeking their first national championship when they face two-time defending national champion North Dakota State at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The Tigers and the Bison, 14-0 on the season, will kick off at 2:00 p.m. (EST).
The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Coach Rob Ambrose's team, ranked fifth in the final NCAA FCS poll, reached the championship game with wins over No. 9 Fordham, No. 2 Eastern Illinois and No. 3 Eastern Washington.
North Dakota State brings a 23-game winning into the national championship game.
