Final ResultsBETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Towson men's golf team finished its fall season with a bang by winning the team and individual titles at the 2014 Lehigh Invitational, which concluded on Sunday afternoon at Saucon Valley Country Club.
The Tigers finished the 36-hole event with a 602 (295-307) to win the team title by 19 strokes over defending champion Rutgers (309-312=621).
Tiger sophomore
John Hulede won medalist honors for the first time in his career by carding a 148 (71-77). He narrowly edged Ben Alcorn of Fordham and Zach Egermayer of Villanova, who each shot 149 during the two days of play.
"It's great to end the fall season with a victory," said Towson Head Coach
Brian Yaniger. "John played exceptionally well, but everyone contributed to the team victory. This win will allow us to go into the spring season with more confidence."
Senior
Sam Stewart claimed fourth-place with a 150 (74-76) and sophomore
James Grem finished tied for 11th with a 155 (81-74).
The Tigers will break for the winter before resuming their season in the spring.
