SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – Towson men's golf shoots a round best six-under par to move into fourth place after standout performances from
Ariihau Faana and
Michael Matheson during the second round of the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate.
Faana shot four-under par in the second round, tied for the lowest score of any golfer on the day. Faana carded five straight birdies from holes three through seven. He has now birdied holes five and 15 in both rounds one and two. Faana is shooting -3 through two rounds, good for a tie at eighth.
Matheson shot two-under for the second straight day. He is one of three players in the tournament to shoot two-under or better in both rounds so far this tournament. His four-under score is tied for third going into the final round.
Jai Sheth shot one-under par in the second round punctuated by a birdie on his final hole of the day.
The Tigers will tee off for the final round tomorrow, two strokes out of a top three finish in a very good field.
