WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Towson men's swimming and diving team fell to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) foe William & Mary in dual meet action 161-101 on Friday. The Tigers won four events and had 20 top-three event finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED - The Tigers swept the 1000-yard freestyle, led by junior Tim Schade who won with a time of 9:29.78. Sophomore Matt Sieffert followed in second-place (9:37.46) and junior Brandon Ress came in third-place (9:40.61).
- Freshman Jack Saunderson was impressive in the 200-yard butterfly, winning the event with a time of 1:50.43. Senior Matt McKenney placed third, timing 1:53.68.
- In the 500-yard freestyle, the Tigers took first and second place. Freshman Will Dougherty won the event with a time of 4:36.99. Schade followed in second-place (4:37.77).
- Senior Matt Hans won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.07. He finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (46.82).
- Sophomore Colin Roddy earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.61) with freshman Stefan Keller coming in third (1:57.17).
- McKenney earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, timing 1:42.25. Dougherty came in third (1:42.65).
- In the 100-yard butterfly, McKenney finished third in 50.47. Freshman Jack Saunderson placed fourth with a time of 50.73.
- Junior Nick Breschi was the runner-up in the 100-yard (50.23) and 200-yard backstrokes (1:52.18).
- Junior Jeremy Liu finished third in both the 100-yard (58.68) and 200-yard breastrokes (2:07.01).
- The 200-yard medley relay finished in second-place as Breschi, junior Jeremy Liu, McKenney and Hans combined for a time of 1:32.90.
- Breschi, sophomore Nick Essing, Hans and senior Zach Brech combined for a third-place finish with a time of 3:09.57.
Towson continues its dual meet season at Georgetown on Oct. 17 for a 1 p.m. meet.
