TOWSON, Md. – The Towson men's swimming and diving program opens its dual meet season at defending Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Champion William & Mary on Saturday, Oct. 10. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Recreation Center.
Towson enters the meet ranked ninth in CollegeSwimming.com's Division I Team Power Rankings. The Tigers earned the top ranking in the Mid-Major Rankings.
The Tigers have been off to a fast start this season, opening the season with a third-place finish at the All-Florida Invitational (Sept. 18-20) and taking second-place at the Potomac Relays last weekend. Towson earned 14 top-five finishes at the All-Florida Invitational and placed in the top-three in all eight swimming events at the Potomac Relays.
The Tigers earned a 150-134 victory over the Tribe last season in dual meet action. Reigning CAA Swimmer of the Week
Matt McKenney led the Tiger efforts with three event victories in the 100 and 200-yard butterflies and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Towson continues its dual meet season at Georgetown on Oct. 17 for a 1 p.m. meet.
