SERIES HISTORY: Towson faces a local opponent Sunday as the Tigers welcome Coppin State to SECU Arena. The Tigers hold a 11-3 advantage in a series that began in 1985. Towson has won three straight in the match-up despite the fact that the two teams didn't meet last season. Last time the Tigers and Eagles met, Towson claimed a 66-59 victory at Coppin State. THIRTY SOMETHING: Junior guard
Raven Bankston exploded for a season-high 31 points in Tuesday's game at George Mason. It was the most points scored by a Tiger since
LaTorri Hines-Allen had 31 at James Madison in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opener. It was Bankston's first 30 point game as a Tiger and the sixth time in her career.
IT'S GOOD TO BE HOME: The Tigers return home looking for some success in their home opener Sunday. Towson is 1-1 in home opener under head coach
Niki Reid Geckeler. Towson defeated Rider last season but fell to Navy in Reid Geckeler's first season. Overall the Tigers are 7-3 in their last 10 home openers.
WE'LL TAKE THE CHARITY: Towson went 15-for-22 (68.2%) from the foul line at George Mason. Junior guard
Raven Bankston led the Tigers in that category. She made a career-high 12 free throws in that game.

SCORING SUCCESS: The Tigers are averaging 74 points per game through their first two contests. The Tigers have reached that number due to the scoring success of three of their guards. Junior guard

Dominique Johnson are all ranked among the top 10 in points per game entering the weekend. Bankston leads the league as she is averaging 22.5 points per game. Martin is tallying 17.5 points per game to be tied for fourth. Johnson is pouring in 16.0 points per game which is tied for seventh in the league. The Tigers are the only team in the league with three players ranked in the top 10.
GAME TIME SET: The game time for the Tigers' Jan. 10 home game against UNCW has changed. The Tigers and Seahawks were originally scheduled for a 3 p.m. start but opening tip that day will now be at 1 p.m.
I'LL TAKE THAT: For the second straight game, the Tigers had a player record four steals in the contest. Junior

Dominique Johnson had four steals at George Mason. As a team, the Tigers are averaging 8.0 steals per game this season. Bankston and Martin are tied for fourth in the CAA while averaging 2.5 steals per game. Johnson is tied for eighth while averaging 2.0 steals per game.
