TURKEY TIME: The Tiger women's basketball team heads south to take part in the North Florida Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28. Towson faces Western Illinois on Friday at 1 p.m. and North Florida on Saturday at 3 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY: Towson will face Western Illinois and North Florida for the first time ever in this weekend's tournament.
IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU: This weekend marks the first of five straight games for the Tigers against teams they have never faced before this season. Western Illinois is also the first team the Tigers will ever face from the Summit League. The Tigers are 1-1 all-time against teams from the Atlantic Sun, where North Florida is a member. Towson beat Kennesaw State before but fell to Stetson.

Dominique Johnson continues to push towards a major career milestone. Johnson has 990 career points in 88 career games for the Tigers. She needs 10 more points to become the 16th member of the 1,000 career point club and the first since
Tanisha McTiller did so in the final game of the 2012-13 season.
A BALANCED ATTACK: One of the keys to success for the Tigers in Tuesday's win over UMBC was a balanced attack. All nine Tigers that saw action in the game recorded at least two points in the game. That group was led by junior guard
Raven Bankston who had a game-high 23 points and senior guard
Dominique Johnson who contributed 11. In addition seven of the nine Tigers recorded at least two rebounds in the game. That group was led by sophomore center
Daijha Thomas who had 14 boards and Bankston who grabbed seven rebounds.
DISHING OUT THE HELPERS: Towson dished out a season-high 18 assists in Tuesday's win over UMBC. It was the most helpers by the Tigers in a game since they had 20 against College of Charleston on Feb. 1 of last year. Five Tigers recorded at least one assist in the game. That group was led by sophomore guards
Raine Bankston and
Breonn Hughey who had five assists each.
60 BELOW: Towson held UMBC to just 51 points in Tuesday's victory. It was the fewest points surrendered by the Tigers since they held Drexel to 50 points on March 1 last season. The Tigers are 13-8 all-time under Head coach

BANGING THE BOARDS: Towson won the rebounding battle for the first time this season in the win over UMBC. The Tigers grabbed 43 rebounds to UMBC's 38 boards in the game. Sophomore center
Daijha Thomas led the Tigers with a career-high 14 rebounds in the contest. It was the third time this season Thomas has grabbed 10 or more rebounds in a game and the second straight game in which she established a career-high on the boards. Thomas enters play this weekend ranked third in the CAA in rebounds per game (11.3) and leading the league in defensive rebounds (7.5) per game.
