TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's gymnastics team finished third with 193.750 points at its annual Pink Meet on Friday evening at SECU Arena. Michigan State University won the team title, finishing first with 196.275. Rutgers finished behind with 194.850 while Yale finished last out of the four teams with 191.875.

Towson (9-10) earned its highest total on bars with 48.975 points as all of the Tigers recorded 9.700 or higher.
Tyra McKellar tied for second overall on bars with a score of 9.850.
Vicki Vesecky followed behind and tied her career-high (9.825) on the event.

Noelle Harada tied her career-high (9.775) on beam to help Towson earn a total of 48.650 for the event. Her score tied for fourth-overall and was a team-high. All five of the Tigers who scored for the event recorded 9.700 or higher.

Katie Sassa led the Tiger effort on vault, finishing tied for sixth overall with a score of 9.725. The rest of the Tigers scores hovered around 9.600 for a team total of 47.300.

The Tigers were led by
Lauren Cahalan on floor as she tied for fourth-overall (9.825). Four Tigers scored 9.750 or higher for the event and the team finished with 48.825.

McKellar finished fifth in the all-around with a total of 36.775.

Towson will travel to Brown for a tri meet that also features Lindenwood on Sunday, March 8 at 1 p.m.
