TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson University football team began its 2015 spring practice schedule on Tuesday morning and Tiger Head Coach
Rob Ambrose announced that Tiger Bowl V will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 4 p.m. inside Johnny Unitas® Stadium.
The Tigers will conduct 15 practices during the spring, the maximum allowed by the NCAA. Ambrose continues the tradition of early morning spring practices as the team will begin each practice at 6 a.m.
Spring practices will conclude on April 18 with Tiger Bowl V. The event, which is the only open practice that Towson will hold during the spring, is free and open to the public.
April 18 will be an action-packed day at Unitas Stadium as the nationally-ranked Tiger men's lacrosse team will host Hofstra for its regular season home finale at 12 noon. Fans are encouraged to attend both events as there will be entertainment for all families and fans in attendance between the games and during the spring game. Towson, just one year removed from reaching the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) National Championship game, returns a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. The Tigers return nine offensive starters, including their entire offensive line and First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) running back
Darius Victor. On the defensive side, Towson must replace NFL prospects
Ryan Delaire and
Tye Smith, but return eight starters.
