TOWSON, Md. - The Towson baseball team begins an eight-game homestand when they welcome UNC Wilmington to Schuerholz Park for a three-game Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) series. Live stats will be available for all three games, while live video will be available for Friday and Sunday.
The series is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, and the series will conclude with a 1 p.m. matinee Sunday.
The Tigers (3-18, 0-3 CAA) will send RHP
Austin Clark (0-4, 6.55 ERA) to the mound in the series opener. RHP
Kevin Ross (1-2, 4.37 ERA) will take the hill in the middle game, while a starter for the series finale has not been determined.
The Seahawks (16-6, 3-0 CAA) will counter with RHP Nick Monroe (1-1, 6.67 ERA) in the opener and RHP Ryan Foster (2-0, 4.18 ERA) Saturday. They have also not decided on a starter for Sunday.
Towson is coming off a 20-7 victory over Delaware State Tuesday. The Tigers collected 21 hits and it was their best offensive output since scoring 20 runs on 23 hits against William & Mary in the 2013 CAA Tournament semifinals.
The Tigers will continue their homestand with midweek games against UMES (March 31) and Cornell (April 1), before hosting William & Mary in a three-game CAA series April 3-4.
