TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team will play two mid-week non-conference doubleheaders, starting with a pair of games at George Mason on Tuesday, March 31 that begins at 2:30 p.m. The Tigers will then welcome Norfolk State to the Tiger Softball Stadium on Wednesday, April 1 for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
 
Towson (10-14, 0-6 Colonial Athletic Association) is looking to rebound after dropping a weekend series to Hofstra. The Tigers recorded seven home runs over the three-games, led by sophomore Holiday Cahill who smashed three homers.
 
Freshman Brook Miko leads the Tigers with 23 hits and is tied with freshman Kendyl Scott for a team-high 15 runs scored. Senior Missy McCormick has a team-best 3.60 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 60.1 innings pitched.
 
George Mason enters this week with a 9-16 record and are 3-3 in Atlantic-10 play. The Patriots are led by Casey Herring who has a team-best .357 batting average. Brooke Blankenship and Liz Seymour are tied with 17 RBIs. Christina Gabriele leads the Patriots on the mound with a 5.28 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 59.2 innings pitched.
 
Norfolk State improved to 4-14 overall with a 3-0 record in Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference play after sweeping conference foe Howard. Alina Moriarty has a team-best 14 runs, 19 hits and three home runs for the Spartans. In the circle, Marissa Marrero has as 5.67 ERA over 50.2 innings pitched.  
 
Towson will travel to Elon for a weekend conference series on Saturday, April 4. The Tigers and Phoenix will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
