Alyssa Myint has been named the CAA Player of the Week after her performance in the Tigers three-game series against Charleston this past weekend, the CAA announced Monday. This is Myint's first career weekly conference award.
Alyssa Myint started her 100
th, 101
st and 102
nd consecutive games for Towson at shortstop and finished the three-game series batting 10-for-12 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs, good for a .883/.883/1.000 slash line for the series. The Virginia Beach native improved her season batting average from .267 to .310 in the three-game set.
The senior started off the series with a 4-for-4 game on Thursday with two doubles and three RBIs to help lead the Tigers to a 5-4 comeback win. On Friday Myint recorded her 100
th career hit as part of a three-hit day, then on Saturday she once again collected three hits to help lead the Tigers to a series-clinching win on her senior day.
