BEL AIR, Md. – The Towson baseball team will open its three-game series against Bryant Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at Harford Community College. The two teams will conclude the series with a doubleheader starting at 9 a.m. Monday morning.
Both teams enter the weekend in search of their first wins of the season. Towson is 0-7, while the Bulldogs come to town at 0-6.
Towson will send right-hander
Austin Clark (0-1, 1.22 ERA) to the mound in the opener, while Bryant will counter with right-hander Kyle Wilcox (0-0, 2.25 ERA). The Tigers have not decided on a starter for the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday. The Bulldogs will throw left-hander Trevor LaCosse (0-1, 0.90 ERA). The series finale will feature the Tigers left-hander
Bruce Zimmermann (0-1, 9.72 ERA) against Bryant's right-hander James Karinchak (0-2, 4.05 ERA).
The Tigers will return to action Wednesday, March 11 when they travel to face Navy. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for March 10 at Schuerholz Park, but was moved due to field conditions.
