TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team continues a nine-game home stand this weekend with three games against Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) foe College of Charleston. The Tigers and Cougars will play two games on Saturday, April 11 starting at 12 noon before concluding the series with a single game on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Towson (19-16, 2-7 CAA) enters this weekend riding a season-long five-game winning streak after taking the final game of the Elon series last weekend and sweeping midweek doubleheaders against Delaware State and Georgetown.

Several Tigers have been red-hot with the bat during Towson's five-game winning streak, led by sophomore
Holiday Cahill. Cahill is batting .688 with five home runs and 14 RBIs over the last five games. She also leads the team in hits (11), runs (7), doubles (2), total bases (28), slugging percentage (1.750) and on-base percentage (.722) during that span.

Freshman
Brook Miko has also been impressive for the Tigers, batting .429 with five runs, five RBIs and two home runs during Towson's win streak. Her slugging percentage is .929 and her on-base percentage is .556 during that span.

College of Charleston has won three of its last four game to head into this weekend with a 20-19 overall record and 4-5 in CAA play. The Cougars took two of three from CAA foe Delaware and picked up a mid-week win over Charleston Southern on Wednesday.

Taylor Dupree leads the Cougars with an impressive .414 batting average. She has a team-high 41 hits on the year and has driven in nine runs. Senior
Mackenzie Maples provides the power bat for College of Charleston. The catcher leads the Cougars in home runs (5), RBIs (30) and slugging percentage (.562).

Samantha Martin and senior
Hope Klicker are the top two pitchers for the Cougars. Martin is 8-7 on the year with a 3.14 ERA and 94 strikeouts. Klicker is 9-12 with a 3.23 ERA and 91 strikeouts.

Towson will wrap up its nine-game home stand with a mid-week doubleheader against Saint Francis on Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. The Tigers will then travel to CAA rival UNC Wilmington for a weekend series (April 18-19).
