TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team will look to extend its 10-game win streak when the Tigers travel to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival UNC Wilmington for a weekend series. The Tigers and Seahawks will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. before concluding the three-game series with a single game on Sunday at 12 p.m..

Towson enters this weekend coming off a doubleheader sweep over Saint Francis (Pa.) to improve to 24-16 overall. The Tigers allowed just one run over both games, defeating the Red Flash 4-1 in game one and 3-0 in the second game. Freshman

Missy McCormick has been the Tigers' go-to pitcher this season. She is a perfect 5-0 with three complete game shutouts during Towson's 10-game win streak, allowing only 2 runs (0.45 ERA) over 31 innings. McCormick has struck out 89 batters over 105 1/3 innings this season en route to 12 wins.

Holiday Cahill and freshman
Brook Miko have been in command of the Tigers' offense this season and are tied for a team-best 41 hits. Cahill leads Towson with 32 RBIs and 10 home runs this season, only two homers away from tying the school record of 12 in a season. Miko has drawn a team-high 18 walks and is second on the team with 30 RBIs and 27 hits.

UNCW (15-21, 2-10 CAA play) is looking to snap a six-game losing streak with a win against the Tigers. The Seakhawks have been led by freshman
Sarah Davis and senior
Casey Rowland both at the plate and on the mound. Davis is 6-7 on the year with a 3.38 ERA over a team-high 89 innings. She has a team-high 36 hits and 19 RBIs. Rowland has struck out a team-best 76 batters over 65 2/3 innings. She has scored 13 runs and is second on the team with 15 RBIs.
