Sophomore Holiday Cahill paces the Tigers with a team-best 44 hits, 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. She is batting .404 this season and is just one homer away from tying the program's single-season record (12). The Tigers have seen an immediate impact from their freshman class this season, led by Kendyl Scott and Brook Miko. Scott has a team-high 29 runs while Miko is second on the team with 28. Miko is also second in hits (42) and RBIs (30).

Morgan State enters this week 4-26 overall after dropping two of three to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) rival Howard. Danielle Pitpit leads the offense with a .305 batting average and a team-high 25 hits. She is also tied for most RBIs on the team with 11. Amy Begg has pitched the majority of games for the Bears. She has a 7.85 ERA and 69 strikeouts over 96.1 innings.

UMBC (20-17) will travel to Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday for a doubleheader before hosting the Tigers later in the week. Tori Alexander has posted a team-best 47 hits and 35 runs this season to lead the Retrievers. Taylor Hall has driven in a team-leading 34 RBIs and is second on the Retrievers for hits (38). Jessica Holte leads the Retrievers in the circle with a 2.04 ERA and 79 strikeouts over 120.0 innings.

The Tigers will return home to host CAA rival Drexel Dragons this weekend with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 25 at 12 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come early on Saturday to attend the grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Tiger Softball Stadium at 10:45 a.m. There will be light refreshments to follow, giveaways and family-friendly activities that will include a moon bounce, face painter and balloon artist. Prior to the start of Sunday's game, the Tigers will honor their three seniors; Hailey Balk, Missy McCormick and Macie McGeehan.
