TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team will conclude the regular season with a doubleheader against Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, April 29 before traveling to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware for a weekend series. Towson's offense has been led by sophomore Holiday Cahill who is having a standout season. She leads the team in hits (53), home runs (12) and runs batted in (38). Last weekend she tied the school's single-season record for home runs with 12.

She has a team-best 16 wins and has struck out 124 batters over 138.1 innings. Delaware will play a non-conference doubleheader against Saint Peter's on Wednesday before hosting the Tigers this weekend. The Blue Hens enter this week with a 27-21 overall record and are 5-12 in CAA play after being swept by Hofstra last weekend.

Mariah Kondravy paces the Blue Hens with a .366 batting average and her 12 home runs and 44 RBI are both just one shy of school single-season marks. Jessica Grisler leads the team with 56 hits and 36 runs scored. Carolyn Szymanski has taken the bulk of the lead in the circle, bolstering a team-low 2.82 ERA over 163.2 innings and striking out 139 batters.

The CAA Tournament will take place May 6-8 at the Veterans Memorial Park, hosted by James Madison. The Dukes will be the top seed in the four-team, double-elimination tournament, while Hofstra will be the second seed. The final two spots are still up for grabs as the other six teams, including the Tigers, are all still mathematically alive for a postseason berth. Towson is currently tied with Elon for third-place in the standings, as both the Tigers and Phoenix have an 8-10 CAA record.
