The Series: Saint FrancisThe Tigers will look to improve upon their 4-0-0 all-time mark against the Red Flash of Saint Francis. The two teams first met in 1995, a 6-2 Towson win. A 6-0 win followed in 1997 before the teams took an eight-year break from the series, clashing again in 2005, the last time the series was contested in Towson. In 2013, the Tigers took the show on the road to Loretto, Pennsylvania. Towson has won the last two contests 2-1.
The Series: PennJust two hours separate Towson and the Ivy League Quakers, yet the teams have met just twice and split the series 1-1-0. Penn won the first game back in 1992 by a 3-1 count. It would be nearly two decades before the programs met again as Towson avenged the loss with a 1-0 win on the road in 2010. No current player on the Tigers' roster was born the last time the two programs met in Towson in 1992 during the program's inaugural season.
Bring Your Green Hat!After a 2-0-0 week in the Battle of Baltimore, the Tigers have run their winning streak to five, while remaining unbeaten in their last six games. The run dates back to a 2-2 double overtime draw with High Point on August 28 at the Tiger Soccer Complex. The five straight wins stand as a program record.
Towson has an unbeaten streak going at the Tiger Soccer Complex as well, sitting at 1-0-1 this year, combined with a 2-0-1 finish in 2014 to improve to 3-0-2 in its last five contests on home field.
490 And CountingIt's been awhile since an opponent solved the Tigers' defense. Towson has not allowed a goal in the last 490 minutes of action.
