SERIES HISTORY: Towson faces a tough challenge as it resumes its series with James Madison Friday. It will be the 41st meeting all-time between the Tigers and Dukes. JMU leads the series 37-3 and has won nine straight over the Tigers. Last year, the two squads met three times with the Dukes taking all three. James Madison squeaked out a 67-66 win in the CAA opener, a 79-64 win in Towson and a 64-49 victory in the CAA quarterfinals. The Tigers will be looking for their first win in the series since the 2011-12 season at home.

I'LL TAKE THAT: Towson continued to make use of its quick hands last weekend. The Tigers tallied 27 steals to their opponnents' nine swipes in two games last weekend. Towson had 13 steals in Sunday's contest at Delaware. Sophomore center Daijha Thomas had a career-high five steals against the Blue Hens while redshirt sophomore forward Jordyn Smith came off the bench to contribute three swipes. Towson has recorded double digit steals in four straight games and five of it's last six contests. The Tigers enter play this weekend second in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) while averaging 8.8 steals per game. Individually, junior guard Raven Bankston ranks second in the CAA while averaging 2.4 steals per game. She is one of five Tigers with 12 or more steals so far this season.

MAKE IT RAINE: Since being inserted back into the starting line-up against Elon, redshirt sophomore forward Raine Bankston has been a major factor for the Tigers. In two games last weekend, Bankston tallied 25 points, including a season-high 15 points at Delaware. She also pulled down 12 rebounds while contributing five assists, five steals and a block.

PILING UP THE POINTS: The top two scoring offenses in the CAA meet as the Tigers and Dukes battle each other Friday. The Tigers currently rank second in the CAA for scoring offense while averaging 66.9 points per game. Towson has scored 70 or more points in eight of 16 games this season. James Madison leads the CAA while averaging 72.5 points per game. The Dukes have tallied 75 or more points six times this season.

WE'LL TAKE THE CHARITY: The Tigers shot well from the charity stripe in both games last weekend. Towson shot 73.7% (14-for-19) from the foul line against the Blue Hens. Four Tigers made at least one shot from the charity stripe. That group was led by junior guard Raven Bankston who was a perfect 9-for-9 from the line against Delaware. The Tigers also had a solid night from the foul line against Elon. Towson went 26-for-33 (78.8%) from the charity stripe in the contest. It was a season-high in free throws made by the Tigers. It was the also the most made free throws by the Tigers since the 2009-10 season when they made 27 against Hofstra. Against Elon Towson was 15-for-19 (78.9%) from the foul line in the final two minutes of the game. Towson, which is shooting 68.4% from the line for the season, has been particularly effective in the final five minutes of a game. The Tigers are shooting 71.9% from the foul line in the final five minutes of a game this season.

UP NEXT: Following Friday's game, the Tigers take to the road to visit Hofstra on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m.
