ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson men's swimming program fell to Navy and Johns Hopkins in double-dual meet action on Wednesday evening at Navy's Lejuene Hall. The Tigers were narrowly edged by Navy 134-123 and fell to Johns Hopkins by a score of 153-109.

Jack Saunderson set a school freshman record for the Tigers, winning the 100-yard butterfly in 49.65. The previous record was 50.26 set by
Matt McKenney. Towson finished the meet with four event victories and 19 top-five finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED Â Â Â Â Â Â - Jack Saunderson won the 100-yard butterfly with a freshman school record time of 49.65. He timed 1:50.43 to earn a victory in the 200-yard butterfly. Pritchard finished fourth for the event with a time of 1:53.75.
- Nick Breschi won both the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes. He timed 50.33 in the 100 and 1:51.69 in the 200.
- Zach Bishop came in fourth-place for the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.80) while Noah Pritchard followed in fifth-place (1:55.49).
- The Tigers impressed in the 200-yard individual medley, led by Ben Johnston who came in second-place (1:56.39). Stefan Keller finished third (1:56.67) while Colin Roddy placed fifth (1:57.01).
- Matt Hans swam 21.13 for a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. Nick Essing finished fifth with a time of 21.70.
- Jeremy Liu was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke, timing 58.23.
- Stefan Keller timed 2:05.55 in the 200-yard breaststroke for a second-place finish.
- Mike Johnson came in fourth-place in the 1000-yard freestyle, timing 9:45.23.
- Brandon Ress finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:42.19). He also placed ninth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.36.
- Brech led the Tiger effort in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.06 for a sixth-place finish.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Saunderson, Ress, Johnston and Andrew Snyder came in second-place with a time of 1:25.49.
- The Tigers finished fifth in the 200-yard medley relay as Breschi, Liu, Saunderson and Hans combined for a time of 1:33.66.

Towson returns home to host Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. The meet will be the Tigers final home meet of the season and serve as senior day.
