TOWSON, Md. – The Towson men's swimming and diving team closed out its regular season with a tough 169.5-124.5 loss to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware on Saturday at Burdick Pool.
The Tigers won six events and earned 33 top-five finishes.
Jack Saunderson shattered his own freshman school record in the 100-yard butterfly, winning the event in 49.19. He set the freshman record for the event earlier in the week at the Navy/Hopkins meet, timing 49.65.

HOW IT HAPPENED (DIVING)- Jake Casey finished in third-place for both the one-meter (141.90) and three-meter (139.28) diving events.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SWIMMING)- The Tigers opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Nick Breschi, Jeremy Liu, Zach Brech and Matt Hans combined for a time of 1:33.03.
- Matt Hans earned a victory in the 50-yard freestyle, timing 20.97. He also won the 100-yard freestyle in 46.29.
- Jack Saunderson won the 200-yard butterfly in 1:50.70. Stefan Keller followed for a second-place finish (1:55.91).
- Saunderson also won the 100-yard butterfly with a freshman school record time of 49.19, followed by Brech in second-place (50.80).
- Brandon Ress earned the first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.72.
- Ress was the runner-up in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:48.43) followed by Mike Johnson in third-place (9:51.80).
- Breschi finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.83). He was also the runner-up in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:52.01.
- Liu came in second-place in the 100-yard breaststroke, timing 58.93.
- The Tigers finished second and third in the 200-yard breaststroke, led by Keller who timed 2:07.50 for second-place. Liu came in third with a time of 2:08.08.
- Colin Roddy earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (1:56.15).
- Noah Pritchard placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke, timing 52.33.
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Breschi, Nick Essing, Brech and Johnson closed out the meet with a second-place finish (3:11.05).

Towson begins postseason action with the two-day CAA Diving Championships which take place from Feb. 20-21 at Delaware's Rawstrom Natatorium. The CAA Swimming Championships will be held on Feb. 24-27 at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center in Richmond, Virginia.
