TOWSON, Md. – The Towson men's swimming and diving program will host its first meet of 2016 on Saturday as the Tigers welcome McDaniel to Burdick Pool. Diving events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with swimming events following at 1 p.m.

Towson returns to action after a two-month break from competition. The Tigers are coming off a 182-72 win at George Washington in November that included 12 event victories and 30 top-three finishes. Towson was led by seniors
Matt Hans and
Matt McKenney, along with juniors
Nick Breschi and
Jeremy Liu, who all posted multi-win days against the Colonials.

The Tigers have 23 top-10 times among Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) swimmers at the mid-season mark, not including relays, according to Collegeswimming.com.

Sophomore
Matt Sieffert has the top time for the 1000-yard freestyle (9:37:46, at William & Mary) among CAA swimmers this season. Junior
Brandon Ress followed with the second-fastest 1000-yard freestyle time (9:40.61, at William & Mary).

McKenney holds the conference's third-fastest 200-yard butterfly time (1:49.38, at All-Florida Invite) this season.

Towson heads to Virginia Tech for a two-day meet that also features Virginia. Action begins Friday, January 15 at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.
