DURHAM, N.H. – The Towson women's gymnastics team recorded a season-best team total of 194.575 to finish in second-place at the University of New Hampshire Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon. The host Wildcats won the meet (195.550) while the University of Bridgeport finished third (194.525) and Brown followed in fourth-place (192.150). 
In addition to recording a season-best team total, the Tigers also earned season-high scores on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Tigers opened the meet on the uneven bars, scoring a season-high team total of 48.675. Tyra McKellar finished in second-place with a season-best 9.875. Noelle Harada earned a season-best score of 9.775 to finish tied for 10th-place. Katie McGrady (9.725) earned a career-high score for the event.
- Towson moved to the balance beam for the second rotation, earning a season-high 49.000. Gabby Yarrusi tied for second-place with a career-best of 9.990. McKellar (9.775, 8th) and Lauren Cahalan (9.750, T-9th) also finished in the top-10 for the event. Mary Elle Arduino earned a career-best 9.875 to finish tied for fourth-place.
- In the third rotation, the Tigers recorded a season-high 48.650 on floor exercise. Cortni Baker tied for fifth-place with a career-best 9.800. Aysia Sharif finished tied for seventh-place (9.775). Cahalan earned a season-best 9.675.
- Towson wrapped up the meet on vault, posting a score of 48.250. McKellar and Arduino earned matching scores of 9.675 to tie for fifth-place. Also in the top-10 for the Tigers was Baker and Sharif who finished tied for eighth-place (9.650).
- In the all-around, McKellar won with a score of 39.050. Noelle Harada finished sixth in the all-around with a score of 38.050.
BEYOND THE SCORESHEET- With her score of 9.900 on the balance beam, Yarussi becomes just the 10th gymnast in program history to earn at least a 9.900 mark for the event.
Towson will open its season at home on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. against Pittsburgh, Ursinus and Penn in SECU Arena. The meet will serve as the Tigers' Shelli Calloway Invitational, its annual alumni meet. Tickets are available online at TowsonTigers.com or by calling 1-855-TU-TIGER.
