CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Towson baseball team begins a busy stretch of seven games in eight days when the Tigers travel to face No. 10 Virginia in a two-game series March 15-16. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. both days.

7 Games in 8 DaysThe Tigers are entering their busiest stretch of the season as they will play seven games over the next eight days. The Tigers play their home opener against Navy on March 17, before hosting a three-game series with Rhode Island (March 19-21) and Coppin State (March 22).
Last Time OutThe Tigers dropped two of three on the road at Norfolk State. Towson dropped the series opener before coming back for a 6-3 victory in 14 innings. The Tigers rallied for five runs in the ninth inning in the series finale, but fell 13-7.
Playing ExtraTowson needed extra innings in its victory over Norfolk State on Saturday. After NSU tied the game in the sixth, both teams went scoreless until the 14
th inning when
Colin Dyer cleared the bases with a triple to left center. It was the longest game for the Tigers since going 15 innings in the first game of a doubleheader against Pitt on March 29, 2013.
Stricker StreakJunior left hander
Kyle Stricker has not allowed a run over his last two outings. Over that span, Stricker has allowed just four hits over 11.0 innings. He gave up just one hit over 6.1 innings to earn the victory over Harvard, and followed it up by allowing three hits over 4.2 scoreless innings to earn the win against Norfolk State.
