TOWSON, Md. – As the Towson University men's basketball team continues final preparations for its trip to Las Vegas to compete in the inaugural Vegas 16 tournament at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, here's 16 quick notes on the Tigers and their 20-12 season.

Towson will meet Oakland (21-11 overall) in a quarterfinal contest that will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network on Monday, March 28 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

"It's really exciting to be able to continue our season and play in a postseason tournament," Towson senior Timajh Parker-Rivera said. "Oakland is a great team and we know they are capable of playing at a very high level. We're excited for the matchup. They are the top scoring team in the nation and we pride ourselves on defense and rebounding so that means we'll have to be super focused and pay closer attention to small details."

1a.       Towson has played three teams in this tournament in its history (East Tennessee State, Northern Illinois and Old Dominion).

1b.       Towson and Old Dominion used to be members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). The Monarchs are now members of Conference USA.

2a.       William Adala-Moto has seven double-doubles this season and he had a streak in which he scored in double figures in 14 consecutive games.

2b.       Eddie Keith II led Towson in steals 10 times this season.

3a.       Mike Morsell's career best 34 points in a 99-82 win over William & Mary were a SECU Arena scoring record.

3b.       Parker-Rivera has seven career double-digit rebounding games and four double-doubles. He is also the winningest player in Towson's Division I history with 75 victories.

4a.       Byron Hawkins has scored 20 or more points four times this season, and five times in his career.

4b.       Oakland and Towson have combined to attempt 1,641 free throws this season.

5a.       Nevada will be the 10th state this season that Towson will have played a game in this season.

5b.       John Davis has 15 career double-doubles, including three this season.

6a.       Walter Foster blocked a career-high seven shots during a 69-51 win over Drexel on Jan. 16.

6b.       In that same game against Drexel, Towson blocked 11 shots, which was two shy of the single-game program record of 13 set against George Mason in 1977.

7a.       Josh Ivory had a senior night to remember as he scored a career-high 11 points to help Towson beat James Madison, 69-67.

7b.       Towson is 2-0 in overtime this season. Ironically, the Tigers won both of their overtime games by four points: 81-77 at Coppin State and 101-97 against Delaware.

8a.       Towson was the only CAA team this season not to lose consecutive conference games.

8b.       Towson won nine non-conference games this season, matching the Division I program record, which was achieved by the 2013-14 team.
