It All Comes Down to This

BOSTON, Mass. – The Towson University baseball heads into the final weekend of the regular season with plenty to play for.  The Tigers will play a three-game series at Northeastern with plenty of postseason implications.

What's at Stake?
There is a log jam for the final two spots in the CAA Tournament.  James Madison and College of Charleston are currently tied for fifth place with a 10-11 record, while Towson and Delaware are tied for 7th at 9-12.  Two of those teams will make the CAA Tournament, while two will not.

Weekend Matchups
The Tigers close out the season at fourth-place Northeastern (10-10).  James Madison will play at Hofstra (5-15), while College of Charleston hosts William & Mary (13-7).  Delaware will also host UNCW (14-5).

Stolen Base Tandem
The tandem of Richie Palacios and Brady Policelli are the top stolen base duo in the CAA.  Palacios leads the league with 32 stolen bases, while Policelli is fourth with 21.  They are the only teammates in the CAA with at least 20 stolen bases.

Speaking of Stolen Bases
The Tigers have been in motion on the bases all season.  Entering the final weekend of the regular season, the Tigers have 87 stolen bases.  They are just two stolen bases shy of tieing the school record of 89 set during the 2013 season.  The 32 stolen bases by Palacios is a school record, while Policelli's 21 stolen bases ranks fifth on the single-season list.

Walk Into the Record Book
Brady Policelli was walked five times in the midweek game against George Mason.  The five walks ties the single-game record set by Dusty Reynolds against Lafayette in 1998.
