TOWSON, Md. – One of the Colonial Athletic Association's best rivalries resumes when Towson hosts Delaware in a key league clash. Both teams arrive at this battle looking for their first CAA win of the 2016-17 season.
The Tigers and Blue Hens have been playing each other since 1970. They have treated fans to several memorable moments and games. One of those special contests occurred the last time Delaware visited Towson when both teams combined to score 198 points, the most ever between them in 76 meetings.
Towson captured a 101-97 overtime victory. Towson never trailed in overtime and was 13-for-17 from the foul line in the extra five minutes.
Two of the last four games between Delaware and Towson have gone to overtime. The last four meetings have been decided by five points or less with each team winning twice. Towson has won three of the last five contests between the two teams.

Deshaun Morman leads the CAA in steals, averaging 1.8 per game. Delaware's Anthony Mosley is second in the CAA at 1.7 steals per game. They have combined for 59 thefts.
A Look At Delaware
The Blue Hens are under the direction of first-year head coach Martin Inglesby, a longtime Notre Dame assistant. The Blue Hens have lost four straight games. They have been led by freshman Ryan Daly, who leads the Blue Hens in scoring (13.8) and rebouding (6.8). Daly repeated as CAA Rookie of the Week after averaging 18.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in the Blue Hens' three games last week. He shot 55% (22-40) from the floor and also dished out 8 assists. The freshman guard scored a career-high 28 points against UNCW, which was the 4th-most ever by a UD freshman. Daly has scored double figures in eight of his past nine games, including four 20-point efforts. Anthony Mosley averages 10.6 points per game. Three of Delaware's league losses were to Northeastern, Charleston and UNCW, all who are a combined 12-0 in CAA play. The Blue Hens are averaging 61.7 points in four CAA games after scoring 81 against UNCW in its last game.

John Davis posted consecutive double-doubles against Stony Brook (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Robert Morris (18, 10) for the first time since Jan. 22-24, 2015. He leads the CAA with five double-doubles. With 625 career rebounds, Davis passed Steffan Bunsavage and into 10th place all-time in program history. He became the 10th player in program history with at least 600 rebounds. He needs five rebounds to pass Junior Hairston and into ninth place on Towson's all-time rebounding list.

Towson guard
Deshaun Morman leads the CAA in steals, averaging 1.8 per game. He has registered at least three steals four times this season. Morman has also collected multiple steals in seven consecutive games. He has a career-best four steals against Stony Brook. He is averaging 10.4 points per game.
CAA Struggles
In four CAA games, Towson is averaging 57.2 points. In 12 non-conference games against Division I opponents, the Tigers averaged 72.8 points and scored at least 70 points eight times. Prior to its CAA opener against UNCW, Towson had scored at least 70 points in five straight games. Towson has yet to reach 70 points in a conference game. Brian Starr has started Towson's last five games and has made a significant impact. He is averaging 8.3 points per game since becoming a regular in the starting lineup. He scored a career best 14 points against Iona in the South Point Holiday Classic on Dec. 22. Starr also scored nine points against the College of Charleston. Starr has also grabbed at least five rebounds in three of those starts. He had five against Iona and Elon along with a career best six against the College of Charleston.

CAA Title Game Has A TV Home
The CAA signed an agreement with CBS Sports to have the title game of the 2017 CAA Men's Basketball Championship televised live on CBS Sports Network. The contest will tip-off at 7:00 PM, ET on
Monday, March 6. The CAA Men's Basketball Championship will be played at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C. for the first time from March 3-6 as the conference takes its showcase event to one of the nation's top tourist destinations. The tournament is traditionally one of the most competitive in the nation with six different schools having captured the title over the past six years.
"The CAA is pleased to partner with CBS Sports Network to televise the Championship game of our 2017 Men's Basketball Tournament," CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio said.
