TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team remains home to host Northeastern University Saturday afternoon in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game. It will be Military Appreciation Day sponsored by New Day USA.
Northeastern rolls into town with an eight-game winning streak after defeating Drexel, 92-75, Thursday night. The Huskies, who ushered Towson out of last season's CAA Tournament, are tied for first place with UNCW and the College of Charleston. Each team is a perfect 5-0 in conference contests. In addition, the Huskies have won six straight games in Towson.
"We have a great opportunity to play against a first-place team where we'll be a huge underdog," Towson head coach
Pat Skerry said during Thursday's postgame press conference. "We look forward to that challenge."

A Look At Northeastern
Behind 54 second half points, Northeastern rolled over Drexel Thursday night at Matthews Arena, 92-75 to extend its win streak to eight, the largest since the 2012-13 season. T.J. Williams led the way with his second 30-point effort of the season, tying his career high with 30 points, while adding eight rebounds and seven assists. It was also his 11th 20-point or better effort of the season, while he kept his streak of scoring at least 16 points in each game this season alive. He is the only player in the country to have achieved that feat. Williams leads the CAA in scoring (21.6 ppg.) and assists (6.0). Alex Murphy averages 14.7 points per game. The Huskies are tied for first place in the CAA with UNCW and Charleston, all of whom are 5-0.
