TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University Athletic Department announced that individual and group tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2017 women's lacrosse season.
In addition, the department released the promotional schedule for the Tigers' spring campaign.
Tickets for the games this season are $8 for adults and $6 for youth (2-12). A senior (65+) ticket is $6 while groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each. Tickets can be purchased by visiting TowsonTigers.com or calling 1-855-TU-Tiger.
Towson's season opener against Stony Brook on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1:30 p.m. will be the team's annual "Gold Rush" game. Any fan wearing gold to the game can receive a ticket at the group rate of $5.
When the Tigers play host to local rival Loyola at noon on Sunday, Feb. 26 it will be the "Battle for Greater Baltimore" at noon in Johnny Unitas® Stadium.
Towson kicks off the month of March by hosting Florida on March 5 at noon. It will be US Lacrosse Day and anyone who presents their US Lacrosse ID at the box office the day of the game can receive a $5 ticket.
The following Sunday, March 12 when the Tigers host Stetson for a noon start, it will be Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Any fan wearing pink to support the cause can receive a $5 ticket to the game.
When Towson welcomes Notre Dame to Unitas Stadium for a mid-week contest on Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m., it will be Youth Lacrosse night. All kids, 12 and under, wearing a youth lacrosse jersey will receive a free ticket to the game.
On Saturday, March 25, the Tigers will take on Oregon at 2:30 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader with the Tiger men's team. That will be the team's annual Hometown Heroes Appreciation game. All first responders and military members can receive four free tickets to that game.
For the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) home opener on Friday, Apr. 7 against William & Mary at 7 p.m., the Tigers will do their part to support the One Love Foundation.
Towson hosts MYLA Day/Meet the Tigers against Drexel on Sunday, Apr. 23 at noon. Kids, 12 and under, wearing a youth lacrosse jersey will receive a free ticket to that game and the Tigers will host a postgame clinic on the field.
The Tigers wrap up the regular season on Sunday, Apr. 30 against local rival Johns Hopkins with opening draw set for noon. The Tigers will recognize their seniors prior to the game and any fans wearing black and gold to show their Towson pride for the seniors can receive a $5 ticket. That will also be the game where the Tigers welcome back all alumnae.
As the defending CAA champs, Towson will host the CAA Tournament, featuring the top four seeds, May 5-7.
