Series History: Towson faces a tough and challenging opponent in James Madison. It will be the 43rd meeting all-time between the Tigers and Dukes. The Dukes have won 11 straight in the series and leads the match-up 39-3. All three of the Tigers' wins in the series have come in Towson.
Seeing Double: Towson senior guard
Raven Bankston and freshman guard
Nukiya Mayo scored 18 and 10 points, respectively at Northeastern. For Bankston, it was the 12th time this season and 72nd time in her career that she scored in double figures. Mayo reached double digits for the second time in her young career.
Clearing The Glass: Towson turned in an impressive performance on the boards Friday night at Northeastern. The Tigers collected a season-high 50 rebounds. It was the most rebounds since the Tigers had 53 at North Florida last November. All 10 Tigers who appeared in the game grabbed at least one rebound. That group was led by redshirt junior forward
Jordyn Smith who had a career-high 12 rebounds against the Huskies.
I'll Take That: Towson continues to find ways to get its hands on the ball. The Tigers had 10 steals against Northeastern on Friday evening. The Tigers have now recorded double digit steals nine times this season.
The Tigers enter play this weekend leading the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) while averaging 11.3 steals per game. Senior guard
Raven Bankston, who had five steals on Friday night, has 47 steals so far this season. She ranks first in the CAA while averaging 3.6 steals per game. She continues to rank among the national leaders in steals and steals per game.
Piling Up The Points; The contest against James Madison pits the top two scorers in the CAA against each other. Towson guard
Raven Bankston ranks second in the league while averaging 18.0 points per game.
She will be facing James Madison's Precious Hall who leads the league while averaging 24.0 points per game.
Providing A Lift: A trio of Tigers provided a big lift off the bench as the Tigers attempted a comeback at Northeastern. Redshirt sophomore center
Maia Lee posted a season-high in points (9) and rebounds (7). Freshman guard
Nukiya Mayo was the team's second leading scorer with 10 points. Fellow freshman guard
Etalyia Vogt had four assists and three steals.
