Wrapping Up the Weekend: The Towson University women's basketball team wraps up its weekend action by hosting Northeastern on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. Towson Sports Network's
Ben Rosenbaum and

Black Student-Athlete Celebration/Welcome Back: The Tigers will have two special recognitions during Sunday's game. Women's basketball alumna
Norma Kelly will be recognized as part of the department's black student-athlete celebration. Kelly was the first female African-American student-athlete to be elected to the Towson Athletics Hall of Fame. Anyone who purchases a ticket for the men's basketball game on Feb. 18th with promo code TBAA will receive a complimentary ticket to the Feb. 19th women's game.
In addition the Tigers will welcome back their alumnae during the game. The former Tiger players will be recognized at halftime of the game.
Series History: Towson faces Northeastern for the second time this season but for the first time since Jan. 6 when the two teams met in Boston. Towson leads the series 18-16 but the Huskies have won two straight following a 72-64 win earlier this year. Guard
Raven Bankston had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers in that contest while
Claudia Ortiz led Northeastern with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Lending a Helping Hand: Towson dished out 10 assists in Friday night's contest against Drexel. Senior guard
Raven Bankston led the Tigers with five assists while junior guard
Shanea Butler added a pair of helpers. The Tigers have now recorded double-digit assists in 18 games this season.
Clearing the Glass: Towson won the rebounding battle against Drexel, 34-31. Of the 10 players who appeared in Friday's game, nine grabbed at least two rebounds. Redshirt junior forward
Jordyn Smith led all players with a game-high eight rebounds in the contest. It was the ninth time this season the Tigers have won the rebounding battle.
We'll Take Our Chances: Towson dominated the second-chance points battle on Friday night against Drexel. The Tigers had 16 second chance points to Drexel's six in the contest. It was the 13
th time this season the Tigers have won the second-chance points battle. Towson is now averaging 10.3 second-chance points per game.
The Big 9-0-0: Towson senior guard
Raven Bankston enters play Sunday with a chance to reach a scoring milestone. Bankston, who has already scored the 1,000th point of her career, enters the weekend with 892 points in 55 games as a Tiger. Bankston needs eight more points to become the 25th player in program history with 900 or more career points. She would also become the first Tiger since
Dominique Johnson to score 900 or more career points as a Tiger.
