DURHAM, N.H. - Towson University women's gymnastics senior
Gabriella Yarussi totaled two runner-up finishes and one career high as the Tigers dropped a decision at EAGL rival New Hampshire Saturday night at Lundholm Gym, 195.775-193.975.
Yarussi finished second on vault with a career-high 9.825 and second on beam with a 9.800.
How It Happened
- Towson began the meet on bars where senior Tyra McKellar led the way with a fourth place finish after totaling a 9.800. Freshman Kyla Gamble finished fifth with a 9.725.
- The Tigers then rotated to vault where both McKellar and Yarussi finished in a tie for second with identical career high scores of 9.825. New Hampshire's Nicole O'Leary won the event with a 9.900.
- On beam, Yarussi led the way while junior Mary Elle Arduino came in fourth right behind with a 9.775. McKellar was sixth at 9.700.
- On the final rotation, Arduino totaled a career high 9.750 to finish seventh along with Yarussi while junior Cortni Baker led the way with a 9.800 to finish fifth.
- New Hampshire's Danielle Doolin won the all-around with a 38.325, just 0.100 points ahead of Arduino in second.
