CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - Towson University women's swimming and diving sophomore
Jacki Schoening won gold in the 100-yard breaststroke becoming the second Tiger to win gold in as many days at the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimming & Diving Championships at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Heading into the final day of competition on Saturday, the Tigers maintained their third-place standing with 374 points. Just 108 points separate the top five teams. James Madison remained in first place with 418 points, followed by William & Mary (407), Towson, Northeastern (336) and Drexel (310).
Schoening won gold with a time of 1:01.67, setting a new personal best and NCAA B cut time for the second time on Friday after she posted a mark of 1:01.90 in the prelims. Junior
Amanda Rosa finished sixth while sophomore
Kalyn Fetter moved up one spot to 14th.

Emily Wilson who also won gold Thursday night in 3-meter diving.

Caitlin Manthe captured bronze with a time of 3:42.39.
Towson had a lot of fifth-place finishes in Friday's finals, led by Sutton in the 100-yard backstroke. She finished with a new personal best of 55.58 seconds in the finals, breaking her previous best of 55.59 in the prelims. Senior
Jacy Icard finished seventh in the finals and placing fifth in the prelims.
After finishing second in the prelims of the 100-yard butterfly, Cowan finished fifth in the finals while junior
Tara Goss was 13th and Manthe was 15th.

Kendall Krumenacker, who won silver in the 200-yard individual medley on Thursday, finished fifth in the 400 IM on Friday, moving up one spot from the prelims. Freshman
Karlee Carminati took seventh while junior
Tasha Reidenbach also moved up one spot to 14th.
In the 200-yard freestyle, sophomore
Annemarie Schnoor finished seventh while sophomore
Sarah-Margaret Locke was 10th.
The fourth and final day of the 2018 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships get underway on Saturday with prelim sessions at 10 a.m., for swimming and 12:30 p.m., for diving. The 1,650-yard freestyle will be held at 3 p.m., with finals starting at 6 p.m.
