TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swim & dive athletes
Shannon Parrau and
Sam Tennell have earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors for the third consecutive week after their performances against UMBC on Saturday. Parrau is the CAA Women's Diver of the Week while Tennell is the CAA Men's Diver of the Week, the CAA announced Tuesday.
Shannon Parrau earns her seventh diver of the week award of the season further increasing her conference lead in weekly awards won. On her senior day, Parrau began the meet by placing first in the 3 meter dive with a score of 303.38 then also took first in the 1 meter dive scoring 281.63.
Sam Tennell gets his fifth diver of the week award of the season which adds to his lead over all men's divers in the CAA. The senior took first in the 3 meter dive with a score of 332.33 before following that up by scoring 321.68 to get the win in the 1 meter dive as well.
Towson is back in action on February 5 when the Tigers will send select swimmers to compete in the Cavalier Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia.
