TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team returns to action when it hosts Maryland Eastern Shore in a doubleheader at the Tiger Softball Stadium Thursday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m.
The game was moved from Wednesday due to the weather conditions.
The Tigers (16-3 overall) have won 10 consecutive games, their longest streak since 2015. It's the sixth time according to results dating back to 1976 that a Towson softball team has had a double-digit winning streak. Towson has also won 19 straight games against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opponents.
As Towson prepares to face MDES, let's take a look inside of its 10-game winning streak. It has been a team effort as every member of the team has contributed something significant to the early success of the Tigers.
- Brook Miko is batting .538 with five doubles and 12 RBIs.
- Nicole Stockinger has four homers, including a pair of grand slams, and 18 RBIs.
- Stockinger, who is hitting .464, has had two games in which she has driven in at least five runs.
- Stockinger has been named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week twice.
- Kaylen Minnatee (.429) and Madison Wilson (.424) are also hitting over .400.
- Wilson and Miko have 14 hits each to lead the Tigers.
- With a .394 batting average, Kendyl Scott has 13 hits and 11 RBIs.
- Scott, Miko, and Wilson has five multi-hit games.
- Daria Edwards is hitting .379.
- Edwards, Miko, and Shelby Stracher have all walked six times.
- The Tigers have drawn 38 walks.
- Riley Thies (.308) and Stracher (.300) have hit .300 or better.
- Kendall Arcia hit her first home run of the season in a win over Charlotte.
- Cassidy Meyer hit a home run in a win over Mount St. Mary's.
- Jessica Swistock has been strong in leftfield and Jaclyn Mounie has made contributions.

A Look at Maryland Eastern Shore
The Hawks fell to 0-11 after losing to North Carolina Central (4-0) and Alabama State (13-4) in the HBCU Softball Tournament last Saturday. ToriJo Brown had two hits against Alabama State. Samantha Casarez drove in a pair of runs for the Hawks. Casarez is MDES' leading hitter with a .345 batting average. She has 10 hits and eight RBIs. The Hawks are hitting .181 as a team. Naysa Goodman leads MDES with four complete games.

Towson competes in the UNGC tournament this weekend. Towson will play Canisius at 11 a.m. and UNGC at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will play the same two teams on Sunday beginning with Canisius at 10 a.m. and UNCG at 12:30 p.m.
