Last Year at Delaware
Weather played a factor in the series a season ago as the team's played a doubleheader on Friday before finishing the series on Sunday.
7-Straight Against Regional Teams
The Tigers are in the midst of playing seven-straight games against teams who played in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The stretch began with a midweek game against UMBC (Winston-Salem Regional) and continued with three games against Marist (Gainesville Regional) and three games against Delaware (Lubbock Regional). The streak would have been nine-straight, but the midweek series with Virginia was canceled.
Starting Pitching vs. Marist
Towson got its best weekend out if its starters against Marist as all three pitchers struck out at least eight hitters and went at least six innings.
Gavin Weyman fanned eight over 6.0 innings,
David Marriggi struck out nine over 6.1 innings and
Michael Adams had eight strikeouts over 7.0 innings.
Cabrera Delivers Pinch Hit Homer
Noah Cabrera picked a good time for his first career home run as the sophomore came in as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning on Sunday and belted a 1-0 pitch over the fence in left field to tie the game 2-2.
On Deck
The Tigers travel for a midweek game at George Washington on March 28. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
