Flacco Joins Towson Football

TOWSON, Md. – After spending one season at Rutgers University, quarterback Tom Flacco has transferred to Towson University for the final two years of his eligibility.

Flacco, the youngest brother of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, did not see action with the Scarlet Knights after sitting a season due to NCAA Transfer rules. Flacco, who hails from Voorhees, New Jersey, played for two seasons at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

During his time with the Mustangs, Flacco appeared in 13 games, including seven in his rookie season (2015). He completed 10 of his 12 passes that season, covering 188 yards and one touchdown. He accounted 450 yards of total offense as a freshman, gaining 262 yards on the ground and rushing for a pair of touchdowns.

As a sophomore in 2016, Flacco ran for 74 yards on 10 plays. He attempted one pass that season while appearing in six games.

While at Western Michigan, Flacco helped the Mustangs reach two bowl games, going 1-1 in that span. In his freshman season, Western Michigan won the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl in Nassau, Bahamas, topping Middle Tennessee State 45-31. Flacco completed one pass, connecting for a 34-yard play. The following season, the Mustangs were edged 24-16 against No. 8 Wisconsin in the 2017 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, the lone blemish on the Mustangs' record that season (13-1).
