BOSTON – The 2019 season got underway with the Towson University gymnastics team competing in the Little Boston Invitational. The Tigers came in third place, scoring 190.225 after competing against No. 20 Penn State (195.150) and Temple (194.700).

How it Happened

• Freshmen Emerson Hurst was victorious on beam, scoring a 9.875.
• Ally Wesoly scored 9.650 on vault and 9.675 on bars.
• Cortni Baker received a 9.800 tying for sixth place on floor.
• Tess Zientek received 9.575 in her floor routine.
• Mary Elle Arduino scored 9.725 on floor and received a 9.600 on bars.
• Nikki Borkowski scored a 9.700 on vault.

 
Up Next
Towson is home inside SECU Arena on Friday, Jan. 18. The meet will begin at 7 pm. Teams competing include North Carolina State, William & Mary, and Cornell.
