TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's gymnastics head coach
Jay Ramirez has announced the Tigers' 2020 schedule, highlighted by four home meets.
"We are extremely excited to start the upcoming 2020 season. We have a brand-new team that is motivated and driven and we know it will show in their competitions," said Ramirez. "Towson gymnastics is ready to comeback in a big way. We are ready to see what this season will bring."
The Tigers open the season on Sunday, Jan. 12 when they travel to Philadelphia to face UPenn for a 1 p.m. meet.
Towson's first home meet will be Friday, Jan. 17. The team hosts West Chester, William & Mary and Cornell at 7 p.m. inside SECU Arena.
On Saturday, Jan. 24 the team will head down to Raleigh, North Carolina for a 4 p.m. meet against North Carolina State.
Then on Saturday, Feb. 1, the Tigers will travel to Durham, New Hampshire to face conference foe UNH inside Lundholm Gymnasium. The meet is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 7, the Tigers are back in SECU Arena to face UNC. Towson will roll into action at 7 p.m.
The day after Valentine's Day on Feb. 15, the Tigers will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a tri-meet with Pitt and Yale with all action to begin at 2 p.m.
On Sunday, Feb. 23 Towson will head to the Mountain State for a quad-meet with host West Virginia, Western Michigan and Bowling Green. Meet time is slated for 1 p.m.
Towson will stay on the road Feb. 29 as Penn State hosts a quad-meet featuring Cornell and North Carolina beginning at 4 p.m.
March arrives with the Tigers hosting George Washington and Maryland on Friday the sixth at 7 p.m. Two days later, Towson will travel to George Washington for a 1 p.m. meet.
The Tigers are back home March 15 to host Southern Connecticut at 2 p.m.
UNC will host the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Saturday, March 21 beginning at 2 p.m.
The first found of NCAA postseason runs April 4-5 at regional sites and the Championships April 17-18.
Tickets for all home events will go on sale at a future date.
