Men's Lacrosse Releases 2020 Schedule

TOWSON, Md. -- Last year's conference championship rings have been issued and now it's all eyes on 2020 as the Towson University men's lacrosse team, under the guidance of ninth-year head coach Shawn Nadelen, has announced its schedule for the upcoming season.

Seven home games adorn the 2020 schedule while the Tigers hit the road six times, including all three Greater Baltimore foes.

Towson, which captured its record-setting eighth Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship in May, officially opens the 2020 season on the road at rival Johns Hopkins on Saturday, Feb. 8. A week later, Towson opens the home slate with a showdown against Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Tigers remain at home with a nonconference rematch against Cornell on Friday, Feb. 21 before hitting the road for a pair against Baltimore programs. Towson heads down Charles Street to Loyola on Wednesday, Feb. 26 before heading across the Loop for a clash with UMBC on Tuesday, March 3.

Towson hosts back-to-back games on Saturday, March 7 against Georgetown before taking on the Blue Devils of Duke University on Saturday, March 14. The Tigers head for the Rockies to close out the nonconference slate on Saturday, March 21 at Denver.

On Saturday, March 28 the Tigers open the 2020 CAA schedule with a trip to Long Island to square off with Hofstra University on Saturday, March 28. Towson's first home league game will be Saturday, April 4 against Fairfield University. Towson takes one more road trip on Saturday, April 11 to face off against the University of Massachusetts.

The Tigers close down the regular season with longtime rivals Delaware and Drexel on Saturdays April 18 and April 25, respectively.

The 2020 CAA Championships are set to begin on Thursday April 30 with the semifinal round, followed by the title game on Saturday, May 2. The CAA Tournament will be hosted at the number one seed following the conclusion of the regular season.

The NCAA Tournament kicks off the weekend of May 9-10 at campus sites for the first round before the NCAA Quarterfinals are hosted at Hofstra's James M. Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, New York and Brown Stadium in Providence, Rhode Island. The Quarterfinal weekend is set for May 16-17.

Championship Weekend will be hosted at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Memorial Day Weekend. The NCAA Semifinals are set for May 23 while the 2020 NCAA Champions will be crowned on May 25.
