TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team is back for the first time in nearly a month to host Southern Connecticut State and Bridgeport for the annual Pink Meet at the SECU Arena on Friday, March 1
st at 7 p.m.
Tickets for all Towson University women's gymnastics home meets are on sale now at TowsonTigers.com or by calling the Towson Athletics Ticket Office at 1-855-TU-TIGER. This is the second-to-last home meet for Towson this season.
Friday's competition is the annual Pink Meet. The Towson gymnasts will wear pink to support the fight against breast cancer. After the meet's conclusion, the gymnasts will have an autograph session with the attendees.

Last Time Out
Towson competed in a quad-meet in Washington D.C. this past Friday, falling to the three other teams in George Washington, Eastern Michigan and Kent State.
Towson earned its top team score on a single event, picking up a 49.15 in the floor exercise. As a team, Towson ended with a final score of 192.875.
Ally Wesoly and
Leah Smith each finished in the top-five of the all-around with scores of 38.025 and 37.45 repsectively.
In the Top Five
Two Tigers currently hold places in the top-five of the 2019 East Athletic Gymnastics League season.
Mary Elle Arduino is currently third on the balance beam with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 9.820, having a high score of 9.875, while
Ally Wesoly is fifth on the all-around with an NQS of 38.745, having a high of 39.050.
Tigers in the Community
•Towson is the Division I national champion of the NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Competition for the Fall 2018 semester. Towson completed the most community service hours among all schools in the competition, including 75 different Division I departments and approximately 300 total programs across the country.
•The Tigers have been chaperones at a clinic in Pennsylvania as well as helping with the High Performance Clinic on Sunday, Jan. 13 inside the Towson Center.
•The Tigers also host a kid's night out each semester.
•Throughout the semester, the team will have local schools visit to talk about setting goals.
Scouting the Opponents
Bridgeport has won four meets this season and will compete for the ECAC DII Championship on March 23
rd. One of its gymnastics, Julianna Roland, is the reigning ECAC Gymnast of the Week after scoring a 39.1 in the all-around of the Ken Anderson Invitational. Crystal Gwinn is the reigning ECAC Rookie of the Week after scoring a 9.9 on floor exercise.
Southern Connecticut is competing in its eighth meet of the season, having won two of them. Two gymnasts primarily compete in the all-around: Hannah Stahlbrodt averages a 38.567, with floor being her best event at 9.779 average, while Cassidy Girolamo averages between 9.55 and 9.58 in each the floor and vault for an average all-around score of 37.719.
