BOX SCORE 2 SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Lindsey Tonegay and
Nicole Stockinger for the Towson University softball team highlighted day two of the USC Upstate Tournament.
Tonegay had two-hits in the early game for the Tigers while Stockinger hit her 27th career home run as Towson fell to USC Upstate 6-4.
Towson had five RBI's but was defeated by East Carolina 14-5 in game two.
How It Happened Game 1
- In the first inning Towson went up 3-0 with scores from Julia Jackson, Cassidy Meyer and Nicole Stockinger.
- USC tied the game in the second inning.
- Stockinger's homer to left field gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead.
- USC answered back in the bottom of the third with a homerun to tie the game 4-4.
- The Spartans took the lead in the fourth.
