COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Freshman Hayley Horvath led the Towson University women's track and field team by winning the pole vault at the University of Maryland Invitational Saturday afternoon.
 
How It Happened

• Horvath's clearance of 3.80 meters (12 feet, 5 inches) was an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying standard.
• Horvath was one of four Tigers to finish among the top six in the pole vault.
• Emily Corso was third and Gabrielle Gaygen was fourth in the pole vault.
• They had the same mark of 3.20 meters (10-6).
• Samantha Reid was sixth in the pole vault with a clearance of 2.90 meters (9-6.25).
• Maria Bravo was second in the discus with a throw of 38.74 meters (127-01) and fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.08 meters (147-11).
• Naomi Roth finished fourth in the hammer throw (45.89 meters/150-07).
• Starr Stover was fifth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.55 meters (5-1).
• Nyakiti Dorcas was fifth in the 100-meter dash (12.69 seconds).
• Kaitlyn Famiglietti was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1 minute, 10.27 seconds).
