LEXINGTON, Ky. - Three Tigers from the Towson University track & field team have qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Kentucky and are set to compete on Thursday and Saturday.

Baara Stewart are among the 44 individual Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) athletes that have qualified for First Rounds. This is the sixth consecutive year that Towson has made an appearance in the NCAA Prelims.

Field: Towson will be joined by schools from the Southeast (SEC), Atlantic Coast (ACC) and Big Ten conferences along with other mid-major schools from the east region.

Outdoor Season Recap
Olamide Enajekpo produced three new program all-time marks during the 2026 outdoor season in the junior's debut as a Tiger after transferring from George Mason University. At the Dalton EBanks Invitational, Enajekpo tossed 15.77m in shot put to place second overall at the meet and rank third all-time in the event. The mark ranks 36th in the east region. At the CAA Outdoor Championship, the Silver Spring, Maryland native set personal bests in the discus throw (45.60m) and hammer throw (58.18m) to rank fourth and fifth all-time, respectively. The junior earned All-CAA honors in shot put with a third-place finish after throwing 14.66m.
Leeann Redlo set a program record as well as two new-all time marks during the 2026 outdoor season. The senior set the program record for the high jump at 1.82m at the East Coast Relays after clearing the mark on her first attempt, which ranks 10th in the east region. At the CAA Outdoor Championship, Redlo set a personal best 14.01 in the 100m hurdles to rank fourth all-time in the event. In the long jump, the Bayport, New York native leapt 5.79m to place fourth overall and rank tied for seventh all-time.
Baara Stewart reset two Towson records and contributed to two other all-time performances during the 2026 outdoor season. At the Dalton EBanks Invitational, the junior posted a time of 4:29.08 in the 1500m to reset a 16-year-old program record, originally held by Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue from 2010. At the South Florida Invitational, Stewart clocked 2:04.96 in the 800m to reset a 37-year-old program record, originally held by Maureen Shaneman (2:07.58) from 1989. At the same meet, the junior additionally contributed to a 4x400m time of 3:41.73 alongside
Qiora Rollins,
Mydison Britton and
Jaylynn Dorsey to rank third all-time. At the CAA Outdoor Championship, Stewart also assisted in another 4x400m all-time performance, running a combined 3:39.99 with
Mydison Britton,
Kadidja Ouattara and
Qiora Rollins to place second at the meet and second all-time. The Olney, Maryland native was additionally named the CAA Champion in the 800m.
