TOWSON, Md. – Three Tigers from the Towson University women's swimming and diving team travel to Annapolis, Maryland for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Zone A Diving Championship.
NCAA schools are divided into five zones for diving based upon geographical location. Zone A consists of schools in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. A combined 110 men's and women's divers from 36 schools located in the zone are entered into the meet. Divers had to meet minimum score requirements on each board during the 2018-19 competition season to qualify for the zone meet.
Qualifying divers will perform six dives, then the field will be cut to the top 18 divers. Those advancing divers will perform six more dives, with the scores from all 12 efforts combined to produce the final results.

Victoria Zozzaro all qualified to compete. On Monday, March 11 they will compete in the flighted warmups, competition warmup and the 3-meter preliminaries and finals. On
Tuesday, March 12th, they will compete in the same format followed by the 1-meter preliminaries and finals.

Last Time Out
Towson competed at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) swimming championships in Christiansburg, Va. The Tigers finished with 555.5 points for a third-place finish overall in the championship.
Wilson earned a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter diving, picking up a score of 259.60. Zozzaro, with a score of 241.40, got seventh-place in the A-final.

Tigers in the Community
- • Towson is the Division I national champion of the NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Competition for the Fall 2018 semester. Towson completed the most community service hours among all schools in the competition, including 75 different Division I departments and approximately 300 total programs across the country.
- • The men's and women's swimming and diving team hosted its second clinic with the Special Olympics team on Nov. 10 at Burdick Pool.
