TOWSON, Md. -- This week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features Towson University golfer
Derek Gold. Check out his story by the Towson Sports Network.
Gold had three anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgeries over a 15-month period from January 2017 to April 2018. The sophomore battled through adversity and less than a year from his last medical procedure shot a two-over par 74 in the opening round of the Towson Invitational last weekend.
Towson will conclude the 2018-19 season next week at the Colonial Athletic Association championships at Pinehurst in North Carolina.
