TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team continue Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play as they travel down to Elon, North Carolina for a weekend series.
The Tigers will begin with a doubleheader on Saturday at Hunt Softball Park with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. This will be the 18th meeting between the squads and Towson has a 10-7 advantage over the Phoenix.
Towson (23-23 6-9 CAA) defeated CAA opponent Hofstra this past weekend, the first time in program history taking a series at Bill Edwards Stadium. The Tigers won the first game 12-8 and game two 4-3. In game one Melissa
Abrahamian pitched a complete game for the Tigers and had three strikeouts. In game two
Sara Johnson got the win after going an extra inning and throwing seven strikeouts.
The Tigers are led by
Nicole Stockinger who has a .368 batting average, 40 RBIs and 13 home runs. She is tied for fourth in the conference in runs scored (41) and fifth in slugging percentage (.784).
Julia Smith-Harrington leads the teams in doubles (16) and is second in the CAA.

Elon (27-17-1, 9-6 CAA) had a 9-1 victory over North Carolina A&T State on Wednesday.
Ally Repko leads the CAA in walks with 37 and is also 14th in the country in walks per game at 0.82. The sophomore is second on the team in homers with six and is tied with Callie Horn and Keagan Goldwait for the team-lead in RBI with 23.
Redshirt junior Abby Barker paces the team with her 14-6 record with a 2.84 ERA in 123.1 innings of action.
