MIRAMAR, Fl. – Competing in the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships for the first time in Towson women's track and field history, Georgia Coleman and Hayley Horvath made an impression.
 
Horvath tied a school record and finished second in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.10 meters. Her performance earned her a trip to the 2019 Pan American U20 Athletics Championships to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica during the weekend of July 19-21.

To qualify for the U.S. Team to the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships, the two highest placing finishers at the 2019 USATF U20 Championships in each individual event earn a spot to represent the United States.
 
Meanwhile, Coleman earned a medal by finishing sixth in the hammer throw with a personal best effort of 55.41 meters (181-09). She achieved the mark on her third attempt of the competition.
 
Kylie Anicic will compete in the 1,500-meter run final on Sunday afternoon beginning at 5:54 p.m.
