RICHMOND, Va. – The 2020 dates and locations for the Towson University women's basketball team conference schedule have been announced.
Game times will be announced at a later date. Dates are subject to change based on television selections according to the conference office. TV and streaming information for games will be provided as it becomes available.
The defending Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) champions will open league action at home on the first weekend of the 2020 calendar year. Towson hosts Elon and William & Mary on Friday, Jan. 3 and Sunday, Jan. 5 in SECU Arena.
The Tigers remain home the following weekend to play James Madison on Sunday, Jan. 12.
Towson's first CAA road trip is to the Carolinas, to face College of Charleston on Friday, Jan. 17 and then UNCW on Sunday, Jan. 19. The Tigers return to Maryland to host Northeastern and Hofstra on Friday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Jan. 26, respectively.
Closing out the month of January, Towson travels for a rematch of 2019's CAA Championship title game against Drexel. The Tigers and Dragons are slated to play on Friday, Jan. 31 in Philadelphia before Towson closes out the weekend at Delaware on Sunday, Feb. 2.
Starting the second half of conference action, the Tigers have a bye the following Friday and travel to play JMU on Sunday, Feb. 9.
UNCW and College of Charleston come to town for Valentine's Day weekend as Towson hosts the Seahawks on Friday, Feb. 14 and the Cougars on Sunday, Feb. 16. A trip north follows the next week, with a road game at Hofstra on Friday, Feb. 21 and Northeastern on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Closing out the home slate for the 2020 regular season is a pair of games against two of the teams Towson defeated en route to the CAA title in 2019. The Tigers play Delaware on Friday, Feb. 28 and Drexel on Sunday, March 1.
Towson travels to William & Mary and Elon for the final weekend of the regular season, before returning to Elon for the 2020 CAA Championship. The William & Mary game is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 and the Tigers face Elon on Saturday, March 7.
The 2020 CAA Championship begins on Wednesday, March 11 at the Schar Center on the campus of Elon.
